Health Alert

With confirmation of rising Covid-19 cases in our region, and out of an abundance of caution, Saulteau First Nations has made the decision to close all public facilities for a 2-week isolation period. This includes all departments within Saulteau First Nations. Employees will continue to proceed with operations from home, and we ask for your patience as we try to safely navigate this process.

Travel amongst the surrounding communities and outside of your home is also being discouraged at this time. 

If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, please self-isolate and contact the COVID-19 Online Clinic and Information Line for Northern BC residents: 1-844-645-7811, or contact your primary care provider.

If you have been identified as a COVID-19 case or close contact, please know that the Northern Health and Sautleau Health Clinic will contact you directly and provide further instruction.

Please be aware of the following COVID-19 symptoms:

  • Fever (see below)
  • Chills
  • Cough or worsening of chronic cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Loss of sense of smell or taste
  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Muscle aches

While less common, symptoms can also include:

  • Stuffy nose
  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
  • Dizziness, confusion
  • Abdominal pain
  • Skin rashes or discoloration of fingers or toes.

Please be kind and be vigilant during this difficult time.  Keep your circle small, practice physical distancing, wash or sanitize your hands often and wear a mask if you must go out.
